The activities are led by experienced professional instructors who have worked with Rotary for many, many years.

Although the tasks are largely focused on outdoor activities which add a physical dimension to the problems people will face, the club stressed that this is not an active holiday.

The club is proud to have sponsored one or two young people from this region each year to take the course.

A spokesperson said: ‘We have been moved by the incredible feedback we are receiving from what is often referred to as a life-changing week.
