Philippine Forum conducts in-house leadership training for its new leaders and committee members


The Bayanihan Manggagawa sa Konstruksyon Qatar (BMKQ), an association of Filipino construction workers, with the support of Building and Wood Workers International (BWI), a global organization based in Switzerland, organized a leadership training session for its new leaders and committee members work to achieve significant improvements in personal commitment and leadership capacity.

The training, held at the Inspire Management Training Center in Al Hilal, covered specialized topics of leadership fundamentals and conducted various group activities, including communication and public meeting exercises, for attendees.
Such a program, which included timely and relevant topics raised for brainstorming, will also be one of the BMKQ management’s strategic goals for this year and beyond.
The BMKQ Education and Training Committee successfully managed and structured the sessions and workshops to meet the multiple learning level of 19 participants from various backgrounds such as construction, hospitality, medical and domestic services.
The BMKQ training team, consisting of Eliseo Bermido, Leo Dote and Alliver Revilla, noted that the training was designed to help participants develop effective strategies for internal and external leadership and performance modeling in the workplace. and beyond.
The activities aim to educate and train each participant on how to express themselves confidently in front of others, overcome their fear of public speaking and build their confidence in any form of communication.
During this time, participants were able to gain a clear understanding of the most pressing issues facing Filipino workers overseas, apply their creative and critical thinking skills to analyze various aspects of these issues, and draw conclusions through logical analysis and rational.
The BMKQ should organize various trainings and workshops for its members and other community organizations throughout the year, targeting at least one session per month.
