GALION – Three members of the Galion Police Department recently completed a leadership program offered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI-LEEDA is offered to law enforcement agencies nationwide to advance leadership and improve management practices.
Police Chief Marc Rodriguez, Lt. John Bourne, and Lt. Joe Cinadr each received the Trilogy Award after completing all three courses offered under the program: Supervisor Leadership, Command Leadership, and Executive Leadership. Each course was a week long and the main pillars were leadership, education, community initiatives and management.
They are the first GPD employees to undergo the full FBI-LEEDA. Chef Rodriguez wishes to continue to involve other staff in the program.
“FBI-LEEDA raises the professional standards of our agency. In addition to providing useful information during lessons, it helps to network with other police services, ”said Rodriguez.
He added that the program reflects the department’s commitment to staff training and municipal administration support.
