JAMMU, FEBRUARY 12: Governor’s Advisor KK Sharma today highlighted the importance of capacity building to hone the knowledge and skills of students to familiarize themselves with new technology-focused and information-driven interventions and information. the research.

The advisor was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of four days of academic leadership training in higher education organized by the School of Educational Studies Central University Jammu (CUJ), under the auspices of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on teachers and teaching in conjunction with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) here today. This four-day program will witness deliberations on various issues relating to higher education.

Vice-chancellors, eminent academics attended the inaugural ceremony. The leitmotif of this event is an in-depth discussion on improving the quality of higher education and solving its challenges.

The advisor insisted on identifying gaps, developing skills for negotiations, developing strategies and annual strategic plans and monitoring key factors to deal with the leadership crisis. He called on educators to use education to bring diversity to our country and state as a positive and connecting factor for holistic development to be undertaken in the education sector.

Prof. Furqan Qamar, General Secretary of IAU, gave the opening speech and highlighted the issues of excellence in higher education and the current state of affairs of these institutes. He also addressed the challenges of higher education, such as expanding the higher education system to provide higher education to all, ensure inclusion in higher education and gender parity, in addition to promoting quality and excellence in higher education.

Professor BS Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu, spoke of “decision making as a process”.

Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice-Chancellor, CUJ, delivered his presidential note and focused on developing leadership qualities. He also explained how CUJ walks towards excellence in education.

Speakers for the next three days include vice-chancellors, administrators and directors from various universities and institutions across the country.
